The tannery in Kalisz was established in 1907 as the Leather Factory Sowadski and joint-stock company.
At present, it is difficult to find remnants from that period apart from photos hanging on the walls.
The only element that has remained unchanged in Kalisz Tannery is the method of vegetable tanning of cowhides improved over the years.
This method which is based on the use of the Quebracho and Mimoza tannins allows to find a very wide application of leathers produced in Kalisz.
Apart from our primary production, namely vegetable leathers, we also produce chrome-vegetable soft leathers and splits which enrich our offer.
We exclusively use Polish raw materials for production, considered among the best in the world. Another advantage is our constant innovation in leather finishing, which allows us to meet even the most demanding market needs.
